Training sessions

We can develop tailored training sessions for you and your staff to help get you all up and running quickly with your new portal.  The most common types of training sessions are:

• End-user: covers basic topics like content creation and management, uploading image and file content, sharing and managing permissions, and understanding the workflow process.  This is suitable for users who have basic experience using the web, and a desktop word processing application, but may not have used an online solution before.
• Advanced user: covers the basic tasks mentioned above, but also covers managing special content types such as Collage and Collection, customising look and feel, developing suitable structures and hierarchies within Plone, and learning to leverage advanced options.  Useful for power publishers and other content administrators.
• Site administration: features more tasks commonly assigned to the site administrator, including user and group management, content approval and publication, creation and customisation of portlets, and understanding the top-level site configuration.  Essential knowledge for all administrators who need to manage their site and their users.
• Technical: goes beyond the basics of how to simply "use" the site, and steps into the realm of developing and further customising the technical aspects of the portal.  Suitable for highly technical staff members who need to make future changes to the lower-level aspects of the site.  Such aspects include customising the workflow process further, changing content types, authentication methods, developing add-ons, and more.
