Bryce Thomas, Ph.D. Candidate, Information Technology, James Cook University has been successfully awarded a travel scholarship to attend a workshop at Supercomputing11 in Seattle.

The JCU eResearch Centre is pleased to announce that QCIF (Queensland Cyber Infrastructure Foundation) has selected Bryce Thomas, a Ph.D. candidate studying Information Technology at JCU, as a recipient of a travel scholarship.  This award funds attendance at the Early Adopters PhD Workshop at SC11 (Supercomputing11) in November 2011 in Seattle. This workshop is organised by Monash Research, as part of the conference.

Bryce's Ph.D topic is “Using MapReduce to explore the opportunities for packet-granularity data sharing in Internet-based mobile ad hoc networks” and his supervisor is Professor Ian Atkinson.
